An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Secretary to join our team. You will work closely with the Radiology PA to provide administrative support to our radiologists, radiographers and operational management team as well as liaising with internal and external health professionals and patients.
This is a varied and challenging role requiring excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail. We are looking for a competent and enthusiastic individual with previous secretarial experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft systems including Outlook, Word and Excel.
*Administrative support to the radiology team.
*Responding to email/telephone queries.
*Sending diagnostic results to referrers.
*Supporting the Radiology PA with clinical rota maintenance.
*Maintaining patient pathways using the Trust EPR.

Keyboard skills to RSA Level 2/3 or equivalent English & Maths (grade 4-9)
Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in Administration or Customer Service
Previous experience, and good working knowledge, of all Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and MS Teams.
Knowledge or secretarial or administrative procedures and systems.
Previous experience of working in an office team environment.
The ability to communicate sensitive information to colleagues, patients and relatives.
The ability to pay close attention to detail in written and electronic communication and information storage.
The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality secretarial and administrative support.
Utilise personal problem-solving skills to assist patients, carers and staff.
Able to organise, prioritise and adjust own workload in relation to the priorities of the department.
Demonstrates personal duty of care in relation to the safe use of equipment and other resources.
Maintains good quality in own work and encourages others to do so.
Ability to share knowledge and skills with other team members.
Awareness of data protection policies in relation to patient confidentiality.
Recognition of factors in maintaining own and others health, safety and security.
Previous experience of working in the NHS.
Previous experience of using medical terminology.
Previous experience of minute taking.
